House J

House J is situated on a hill that rises above the surroundings so that there are wonderful views from the first floor. The architecture is characterized with a clear concept: the building turns it’s back to the very near neighboring houses and opens up with big windows to the forest starting from the plot border. The cantilevered first floor is shifted so that it forms a terrace on the ground floor roof and it appears to hover above the lower floors. The design was made in a very close collaboration with its future residents: we see them as co-designers of the project.
